What can't go in a roll-off dumpster?
For safety and environmental reasons, we cannot accept hazardous materials, including paint, oils, solvents, batteries, tires, appliances with refrigerants (like refrigerators and AC units), medical waste, asbestos, and fuel or propane tanks. If you're unsure about a specific item, please ask before loading it.
Do I need a permit for a dumpster in my driveway?
In most cases, no permit is needed when the dumpster is placed on your private property, such as your driveway. However, if the dumpster needs to be placed on a public street or right-of-way, you may need a permit from your local municipality. We can provide guidance based on your specific situation.
Will the dumpster damage my driveway?
We take precautions to protect your property. Our drivers carefully place dumpsters and can use boards or other protective materials under the dumpster's wheels if you're concerned about your driveway surface. Let us know if you have any specific concerns when scheduling.

Is there a weight limit for the dumpster?
Yes, each dumpster rental includes a weight allowance. The specific limit depends on the dumpster size and the type of materials you're disposing of. Heavy materials like concrete, dirt, or roofing shingles may have lower weight limits. We'll discuss weight limits when you book and let you know if your project may exceed them.
How do I know where to place the dumpster?
The dumpster should be placed on a level, solid surface like a driveway, parking pad, or compacted gravel. Make sure there's adequate clearance for our truck to deliver and pick up the dumpster—typically about 60 feet of overhead clearance and enough room to maneuver. Our drivers can help guide placement when they arrive.
Can I put concrete, dirt, or heavy materials in the dumpster?
Yes, we can accept concrete, dirt, and other heavy materials, but weight limits apply. These materials are much heavier than typical household debris, so you may need to limit the amount or choose a dumpster designated for heavy materials. Let us know what you're disposing of when you book so we can advise you properly.

What additional fees might I pay?
Possible additional fees include: Extra Day $15 per additional day; Extra Mileage (tiered) — first 15 miles free, then $3/mi (15–25 mi), $4/mi (25–30 mi), $8/mi (30–40 mi), max 40-mile service area; Driveway Protection $25 if applied; Failed Pickup / Service Fee (Trip Fee) $95; Blocked Access Fee $95 per occurrence; Same-Day Delivery: Free before 3:00 PM (subject to availability); After-Hours Rush Delivery Fee $50 (3:00–6:00 PM, at our discretion); Sunday Delivery Fee $200; Hazardous Materials Handling Fee $90 minimum per category plus actual costs; Contamination Cleanup Fee starting at $150; Oil/Paint Residue Cleanup Fee starting at $150; Concrete Washout Removal Fee starting at $250; Tire Disposal Fee $25 per tire; Overfilled / Above Rail Fee $95 default (debris must remain level with or below the top rails; we may refuse pickup or require excess material to be removed if overfilled, and this fee may stack with Extra Day, Trip, and Blocked Access fees); Cancellation Fee of up to $75 may apply at Dumpster Dogs' discretion — earlier cancellations may qualify for a partial or full refund, while cancellations close to delivery, same-day cancellations, dispatched deliveries, or rentals with reserved inventory, scheduled routing, or operational preparation may become non-refundable; and Overweight Disposal Fee at $0.06 per pound ($120 per ton) over the included 2-ton (4,000 lb) allowance for a 16-yard dumpster based on certified landfill scale tickets. Any applicable additional fees may be charged to the card on file when incurred, per the rental agreement.
Do you deliver on Sundays?
Yes, Sunday delivery is available and is subject to a $200 Sunday Delivery Fee, automatically added when you select a Sunday at checkout. We do not pick up on Sundays — if your rental ends on a Sunday, pickup is automatically moved to the following Monday at no extra charge. A standard rental that simply runs through a Sunday is not charged the Sunday fee. Same-day delivery requests submitted before 3:00 PM local time are Free, subject to truck and dumpster availability. Requests submitted between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM local time are at our discretion and include a flat $50 After-Hours Rush Delivery Fee. Same-day delivery is not available after 6:00 PM local time.
Can I put concrete, dirt, brick, or shingles in the dumpster?
Concrete, dirt, brick, asphalt, stone, roofing shingles, and other dense materials are limited to small quantities unless specifically approved by Dumpster Dogs prior to loading. This keeps the dumpster within safe and legal hauling weight.
